My thoughts - it's definitely stressful and I understand how frustrated writers are when there seems to be a big change without a clear reason. (It's also heartening, in a way, because the strong reaction means that people care a lot about Medium - at least, that is the positive framing I am trying to keep in mind). We’re looking into specific questions about earnings and need to understand what's going on better on our side before we can give a more comprehensive answer. Unfortunately this takes some time (I appreciated your call for patience in one of your recent stories). We’re investigating to understand if and how those are related to the recent spike in abuse, the accounts we’ve suspended, and changes we made to earnings calculations. The goal, as always, is to get the most money to the most genuine writers.
